Creating pencil drawings from various family albums and infusing them with my own interpretation is not only a creative endeavor but also an opportunity to honor the stories and experiences of anonymous people and to challenge this traditional conservative structure what is the family… fascination for this magical and intimate object which encapsulates the memory of a fragile bygone past. It blows the power of spectral images, last visual witness of disappeared beings, creating new narratives under a foreign gaze.  How this representation of identity as an individual and as a family structure or social group have been organized. How to curate the own staged past through the capture of significant everyday events. Inspired by the the researches of Magali Nachtergael I keep on exploring this palimpseste of remembrances using layers, and adding colors to recreate my own dystopian and dreamlike family of man, echoing the Steichen's questionable project severely criticized by Albert Camus in the Mythologies for its dubious and puritanical universalism...
